In just a few minutes´ walk you can reach Landshut´s old town, which invites you to take a leisurely stroll through the city, but also to visit the Basilica of St. Martin, the city residence or the city hall. Enjoy the view over Landshut from Trausnitz Castle, visit the Chamber of Arts and Curiosities and walk through the adjacent courtyard garden. For all culture enthusiasts, a visit to the nearby Small Theater or a little further out of town to the City Theater is worth it. The “Landshut Wedding” takes place every 4 years, in which over 2,000 participants revive the wedding of the duke’s son Georg and the Polish king’s daughter Hedwig in a historical game.
The family-run Hotel Goldene Sonne welcomes you in the heart of the ducal city of Landshut and has 49 tastefully furnished rooms and suites in which you can feel completely comfortable. In addition to a modern bathroom with shower/toilet and hairdryer, the guest rooms have cable TV, minibar, desk, cosmetic mirror, some have a room safe and free Wi-Fi. You will be welcomed with a free bottle of water in the room. In 2021, some rooms were newly renovated and equipped with wooden floors. In the FRANZZ restaurant, guests can look forward to Bavarian regional cuisine from Tuesday for dinner, from Wednesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and on Sunday lunchtime. In the morning our rich breakfast buffet awaits you.
