Hotel Asam has altogether 101 rooms. Guests can choose from 47 single, 45 double and four superior rooms as well as five suites.
In our rooms, modern luxury, harmonious colours, high-quality materials and high-tech communication combine into an overall arrangement of plain elegance.

The non-smoking rooms have air conditioning LCD television, radio, a safe for your valuables and a hairdryer. The hotel has Internet connection and wireless LAN

Food & Beverages

The hotel’s kitchen features Bavarian/Mediterranean cuisine. Traditional Bavarian recipes are refined with select seasonal ingredients from the region and combined with the lightness of Mediterranean cuisine. The Italian-looking ASAMs Restaurant awaits its guests with a modern atmosphere and strong colours.

Traditional Bavarian food is offered in the Agnes Bernauer Stüberl, which is also perfectly suited as a separate room for smaller groups.
Just the right thing to start a new day with – our Power Breakfast. The ample buffet has something for every taste, from wholesome cereals to more hearty dishes.
Right in front of the historical Officers‘ Mess, we have created an inviting outdoor area representing three different styles: the sun terrace in Mediterranean design, the classic beer garden with pebbled ground and chestnut trees, and a quaint former coach house lined with old wood

Sport & Leisure at the hotel

The Straubing region offers a wide range of leisure activities for all ages. The AQUAtherm water park, situated on Wittelsbacherhöhe in Straubing, promises fun and excitement. Thermal and mineral water is supplied from the Sorviodurum medicinal spring.
The Straubing Climbing Park offers a special experience for grown-ups, but there is also a children’s course for the tiny ones from four years old.
Right next to this is the Straubing Zoo. It houses approx. 1,700 animals. The predator enclosure is particularly exciting.
The area around the summer toboggan runs at Egidi-Buckel, a knoll near St. Englmar in the Bavarian Forest, is a true sledging paradise with lots of attractions.
Very nearby is the gorgeous Tree Top Way and Nature Adventure Trail of Maibrunn, with impressive far-reaching views and extraordinary attractions, such as the Upside-down House (“Haus am Kopf”), unique in Bavaria, which indeed sits on its roof. In that house, everything is topsy-turvy, offering a spectacular experience for the senses.
The region also offers a large variety of sports activities: downhill and cross-country skiing, sledging or ice skating in the winter, hiking, climbing, cycling and mountain biking, paragliding, angling, asphalt curling and a lot more in the summer. There are also seven golf courses in the area, which all enjoy great popularity. We will be pleased to book a tee time or a taster course for you. For two days of pure golf enjoyment, you may as well book our package and experience two Straubing golf courses in one weekend.
