Cleverly designed so that every single bedroom enjoys spectacular ocean views, the hotel’s 265 spacious apartments and 13 suites are arranged over 12 floors, and have all been recently refurbished.
A mixture of dark wood fittings with light, cane furniture, tiled floors and bright fabrics combine to create a relaxed and airy feel. All 278 rooms have balconies and offer spectacular views of the ocean and Ondina Beach. In addition, all rooms are fully-air conditioned and come with broadband internet access, telephone with voice mail, cable television with international channels, magnetic door locks, minibar, digital safe, hairdryer, laundry and 24-hour room service. Non-smoking rooms are available. Located on the top floor of the hotel, the newly designed Executive Floor offers rooms with personal computers, fax machines and free internet access. In addition, the executive lounge offers a complimentary breakfast in the morning and cocktails and canapés in the evening.

Twelve function rooms can accommodate up to 2,500 people. The hotel’s largest exhibition hall has a total area of 900 square metres. In addition to the indoor rooms, the landscaped outdoor “green area” has a further total area of 1,200 square metres and regularly hosts extravagant parties and shows for up to 3,000 guests.

Two smaller rooms are ideal for breakout groups or small meetings. Salao Pelourinho comprises four separate rooms which can be joined together in pairs. First Floor: Salao Ondina (688 m2) can be divided into three sections and has its own large foyer (178 m2). The vast Exhibition Hall (900 m2) is ideal for large exhibitions with many stands, and has its own separate entrance from outside the hotel.

The Bahia Othon Palace is located on Avenue Oceânica, at Ondina Beach, an exclusive area just 5km, ten minutes drive from downtown Salvador. Luis Eduardo Magalhaes International Airport (SSA), is 33km (21 miles) north of the hotel.
The 30-minute taxi ride from the airport affords some spectacular views of the coastal scenery. Pelourinho, Salvador’s historic quarter, is 10 minutes drive. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its colourful houses, beautiful baroque churches, museums and cobbled streets, this area promises the visitor a fascinating insight into Bahia’s colonial history and African influence.
The hotel is also close to many excellent shopping malls and upmarket boutiques, as well as many cafes, restaurants, and Rio Vermelho, famous for its buzzing nightlife. Farol da Barra is a five minute drive and Mercado Modelo is a ten minute drive away.
